Spring 2010

Coach Training

All coaches are asked to receive regular coach training through our parent organization, Mass Youth Soccer (MYSA).  Listed below are some of the courses taking place in our area during the current season.  Click here for a full listing of MYSA's Coaching Events,

G Courses:

Choose the course date and time that best suits your schedule even if it's not given within the CCYS area.  Pre-Registration is necessary and should be completed at least 3 days prior to the course date.

Spring 2010 (upd 3-5-09) locally held courses:

Concord & Carlisle:

  • Wednesday, March 17 6-10 p.m. Sanborn Campus, Concord Middle School cafeteria and gym - click here to go directly to this event.

Outside our area:

  • 3/6 Worcester
  • 3/8 Winchester
  • 3/13 Acton & Arlington
  • 3/27 Hopkinton
  • 3/29 Wilmington

F Courses:

Concord & Carlisle:

  • Wednesday and Thursday, March 24 and 25, 6-10 p.m., Sanborn campus, Concord Middle School.  Click here to register for this event.

E Course:

Acton Boxborough Youth Soccer (ABYS) is hosting a USSF "E" Licence course run over two sessions on March 14th and April 11th, 8:30-4:00 each day. This is a great opportunity to get this training at a convenient location. Click here to go directly to the Mass Youth Soccer website to register for the course.

CCYS will reimburse coaches the cost of the course.  Click here to get more information on reimbursement.

Player Registration Information

  • Travel
    • On-Time registration for U16/U18 through March 8
    • For players aged U9 to U14 (Grade 3 through Grade 8)
    • Fees $160 (included this year is a complimentary new player shirt).
    • Late fee $50*
  • In-Town
    • On-Time registration - through March 9, 2010
    • For players Pre-K (entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2010 through Grade 6
    • Registration Fees $115, shirts are $20
    • Late fee $25* for Gr. 1 to Gr. 6

To register after the deadline, email the appropriate age director from the list on the Contact Us page.

*Late fees apply after the close of registration and team placement is not guaranteed.

Coach Meetings

  • Travel - March 23, Thoreau School Cafeteria, 7-9 p.m.
    • 7-8 p.m. U9/U10
    • 8-9 p.m. U11-U18
  • In-Town - April 10, 2010, CCHS Cafeteria, times are as follows:
    • Gr. 2-4 9:00 a.m.
    • K, 1 10:15 a.m.
    • Pre-K 11:30 a.m.

 

Team Formation (In-Town)

  • March 13, 9:30-11 a.m.Alcott School Cafeteria, Concord

 

Practices

Are scheduled at the coach's discretion after discussion with the parents and children on their teams, usually on weekday evenings or Sundays.  To obtain information on practice fields click here.
