Coach Training
Thank you for volunteering for a CCYS program. Our club cannot be successful without the help of over 250 volunteers each fall/spring season. CCYS requires all coaches to obtain coach licensing. Feedback from coaches after completing coach licensing say it helps them to better understand the mind-set of their players and gives them the tools needed to coach. Licensing starts with the introductory 4-hour “G” course and continues with the F, E, down to the A. Each course doubles in length from the last course and gives coaches the next level in skill needed to continue coaching. Coaching requirements change as the player progresses through their age groups. Listed below are specifics about courses offered during the current (or upcoming season) including schedules of locally-held courses.
Fall 2010
Coach Training
All coaches are asked to receive regular coach training through our parent organization, Mass Youth Soccer (MYSA). Listed below are some of the courses taking place in our area during the current season or for a full listing of MYSA Coaching Coaches, click here. To go directly to registration of any of these events, click on Mass Youth Soccer Coaching Event calendar. Once there click on the desired event to get more details and/or to register.
G Courses:
Choose the course date and time that best suits your schedule even if it's not given within the CCYS area. Pre-Registration is necessary and should be completed at least 5 days prior to the course date. While we highly recommend attneding a live course, Mass Youth Soccer also hosts an on-line G course for those coaches who schedules does not enable them to attend a live course. Click here to go to MYSA's On-Line G course information page.
