Parents Overview

Thank you for your interest in CCYS and our soccer programs!

This section is intended to provide an overview of our organization.  More detailed information about particular aspects of CCYS can be found in the section under the relevant heading above.  If you would like to email or speak with someone about a specific question, please go to the Contacts Us page to find the right person.

Club Organization

CCYS is a non-profit organization run mainly by parents and volunteers.  We rely heavily on parents to assume leadership roles, including coaches, assistant coaches, managers, age directors, board directors, and president.  A volunteer board of directors oversees general operations.  The board meets regularly with the president to discuss club business.  Parents may volunteer when registering players by clicking on the Volunteer button or at any time by contacting the club.  In addition to our volunteers, day-to-day operations of CCYS are managed by a registrar, business manager, field & equipment manager, and director of coaching.

Programs

CCYS has two basic programs; Travel (Grades 3-12) and In-Town (Pre-K to Grade 4).  Programs are run separately and have different requirements.  For details about each of these programs including eligibility, click here.  CCYS also offers a competitive Club program in partnership with the Liverpool Football Club International Academy of Massachusetts (for details, please click here).

Practices

In-Town teams typically practice once per week (except for Pre-K), while Travel teams generally practice twice per week.  Practices are set by coaches a few weeks prior to the season opening and may take place in either Concord or Carlisle.

Uniforms

Uniform Jerseys are similar in style for the In-Town and Travel Programs.  If your player has two jerseys (one in white and one in maroon) that fit, you will not need to buy new jerseys.  Uniform jerseys should be ordered at least 3 weeks before the first game.  Travel players will also need black shorts and black socks.  Soccer clothing and other needed gear may be purchased locally at Brines in Concord or Soccer Stuff in Acton.

Registration

If you are new to our club, you will need to set up a family account with AdminSports, our registration provider.  During this setup, you will be asked to enter information about your players as well as health insurance information as well as physician's and emergency contact data. Please have this information available.   Once the account is setup you may register players.  If at any time you need to update your family's information, you may log into this account.  Most data can be updated by you including email addresses.  Of course, if you need assistance, please email the club.  Click here to go to the Registration page which contains details of our current season and a link to registration login.

CCYS strictly adheres to a Zero Tolerance policy regarding player, referee, coach and parent behavior. For the full details on our Zero Tolerance policy click here
